The Multi US 3300 utilizes a four-step automatic charging cycle. First, patented desulphation functionality allows for possible reconditioning of batteries that have lost significant power due nonuse. This is followed by Bulk Charging, when 80% of charging takes place; then Absorption Charging which completes charging up to virtually 100%; and finally Pulse/Maintenance Charging, in which the battery receives a pulse of electricity when the voltage drops below 95%, keeping the battery in perfect condition indefinitely when it is not used. The battery charger worked as advertised. The instructions were spot on and I was successful recharging my dead 12V car battery.

I have a Porsche but do not drive it in the Winter, so I keep my battery conditioned using this item. Excellent and half the price of the Porsche model Battery Conditioners. Every year in the spring the Boxster starts right up without Battery issues. Save your battery, by conditioning it in the off season.

As another reviewer mentions, this is the same charger sold by Porsche at over twice the price. I bought this to charge a dead battery and by the next day the car started like a champ. I’ll be using it to maintain the battery from here out when I have the car in storage and don’t expect any more battery problems.

This charger, as well as the current (more popular) Battery Tender chargers are both made in China. This charger seems to be superior to my Battery Tender chargers in that it appears to be well sealed, of a more modern design, spark proof. Enclosed in a two piece cast housing, not an aluminum box. The charging algorithms will bring back a sulphated battery in some cases. It has three different charging settings, and brought my sulphated APC UPS battery back to limited life. It is particularly well suited for small motorcycle size batteries as well as larger batteries. It may be left connected indefinitely.

My only complaint is the cheap power cord that gets as stiff as a broomstick in extreme cold. . . . . $%##@!! cheap plastic covered power cords, anyway!
