This does exactly what it was made to do, turns on the headlights at night or when I turn on the wipers. Took a few hours to install myself and I am not a car alarm installer so this is easy to do.

I'll admit, I'm sort of picky, but the previous reviewer gave it 5 stars . . . and that's pretty close, so I'll say 4 for a grand total of 4 1/2.

For the price, this is remarkable; I've done the install in a 2003 CR-V and it works as you'd expect it to . . . with some qualifications:
1) You really have to know what you're doing and where you're going inside the vehicle wiring. A HELMS manual (same manual Honda uses) was extremely useful. Most people don't know if it's going to work on high beams, and depending on the manufacturer of your vehicle it may not (only the lows come on automatically)
2) The wiper sensor has no real tolerance; most OEM installs will ignore the washer if it's used, or the first 3 swipes of the wipers. My setup did not allow even for a hack with a timer . . . not a HUGE issue.
3) Path lighting didn't work anyway I did it; I suppose that's vehicle speicific, but I was able to get a PAC-TR7 to do the trick . . .
4) The "off" switch is super low class . . . but you can get one from the parts store that looks better.

Hint for installation:
Relay this to your parking brake so the lights don't come on when you're warming up the vehicle.

Overall, a great buy if you're up to the install. DEI makes a great product and this is no exception.

We bought a 2008 Toyota that did not have auto lights on as dusk, we found ourselfs leaving the head lights on all the time. I ordered this product and installed the auto head light part with 3 wires. and now we have auto lights just like that. Fast shipping from Amazon. com also
