  • This K&N replacement air filter fits my 2006 Civic perfectly and took only 2 minutes to install. This filter is rechargeable so you never have to send it to a landfill. It does increase airflow into the engine and improves performance by increasing combustion. Though there was no noticeable increase in fuel economy the engine does seem to run better and cleaner. The long term economic and environmental benefit is well worth the slight added price of this air filter.

  • I bought two of these, one for each of the Hondas that I own. I bought them so service people wouldn’t try to sell me an air filter when I didn’t really need one. I plan on giving them a cleaning once a year, in the summer, then I’ll always know their actual condition. As far as horse power and fuel economy gains? I don’t hold out much hope. A standard air filter flows air very easily, and this won’t change that appreciably. I had a K&N intake ‘kit’ on a Camaro I used to own, which included an entire new intake duct and large conical filter, which probably made a small difference in economy and power. The more highly modified your engine is, the bigger the gains would be – stock: not so much. (If you put a stock intake and air filter on a Sprint Cup car, it would fall on it’s face from lack of air. ) Without changing the convoluted stock ducting, I don’t think it’s likely to make a ’seat of the pants’ noticible change in power or economy.

  • Well. . . didn’t feel any gain in power, but, it was easy enough to install (less than 5 minutes) and gives me the piece of mind that only a K&N air filter can give me.
