There are two different connectors supplied with the unit. So we connected the unit and expected to see a yellow light indicating a low charge and that the trickle charger was working. We got a yellow light for every 30 seconds, then switches to green. The battery was not charging more than when it is connected to this unit. I am very disappointed, and I do not think I recommend the unit to anyone.

If it were for a week, does what it says it does, but be sure that the clip does not touch anything when it is connected. Alligator clips positive effect lining around hood and burned. Flamed up. Sore product worked. The contact of the switch felt out on arrival. Only 6VDC worked. I had to open the unit and replace the sliding Swith to operate the 12VDC (green indicator no load). My car battery was purchased about a year ago look like new. I have not used the car very often. The battery is gone if I did not use the machine for about three weeks. Connect the charger to my car battery was not a problem (yellow indicator is on). But it took only about 5 minutes to overload the charger (red light and a yellow off). I could not reset the charger unless you disconnect and reconnect. The same has happened again and again. I decided to keep it docked with the red indicator. The unit is hot, not boiling. It seemed that enven with red, still charge a little '. I left the charger in my car battery with the red during the night and tried to start the engine the next morning. Bearly, the engine started. I was a little 'disappointed with the product performance and design. I would not recommend this product to someone who is trying to recharge the car batteries.

This little device works great. A good slow charger that will no longer charge the batteries and do not hurt the bank in the energy sector. It keeps the battery charged and ready to go. I have 3 of them. I would recommend this product to anyone.
